I know I promised a video slideshow, but that probably won’t happen. Between my inability to figure out a way to make it work the way I wanted with my limited resources and (now that I’ve started school again) my lack of time, the chances of my being able to finish the video slideshow are slim to none. Sorry.

As for the lack of updates on the site, that’s just a result of my laziness and lack of inspiration at the moment. This post is more of an “I’m not dead” post than anything else.

So… yeah. Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things at some point in the future.

Uh… my bad?

Life has been more than chaotic lately, and to be honest, it’s been pretty terrible too. School is a fairly large reason for that (among other things that are beyond my control). Fortunately, my school year wraps up on June 16th – this Thursday. That means I only have four days left. THANK GOD.

I can’t make any promises, but I’m going to try to post more often over the summer. I apologize for the lack of updates over the last few months, but I just haven’t had time to write about anything. In fact, I shouldn’t even be writing this post right now… I have four finals to study for.

BACK TO STUDYING.

As you can see, the site now has a new theme! While I certainly liked the previous theme, it just seemed too serious. It almost made me look “professional,” for lack of a better term. I suppose those aren’t bad things, but I’m not trying to be very serious around here, and that’s why I decided to try to make a theme that comes across as a little more fun.

The only major change (aside from the design, which is fairly obvious) is the addition of a Twitter widget in the header. Be sure to check up there for short/random updates that (usually) aren’t worth getting a full post of their own. My good friend Sponty was kind enough to give me the code for the Twitter widget, which he made himself. He also unknowingly named the toad seen in the logo. Sponty called me Toadicus one day, and I thought that was a good name for the gentlemanly toad.

Most of the coding is done, and the theme works (that’s a relief). However, I’m sure I’ll be making some changes over the next few days (and months, if it lasts that long) to make it better.

I guess I lied in my earlier post which stated that the server updates were finished. As you may have noticed, my site has been down for the better part of the last week or more. It’s been very frustrating for me, but I’ve been told that all of the transfers should be complete by Monday of next week. My account was transferred earlier today, but I’m not sure if it’ll stay online or if it’ll go offline again before Monday. Either way, my site seems to be running a lot faster than before, so all of this waiting seems to have been worth it.

As you may have noticed, my site has been down a lot lately… I sowwy. My host has been updating its servers to relieve the heavy load on them, and I believe they’re done now.
